The college has designed an e-governance policy with the primary objective of implementing e- governance in various areas of operations for better efficiency, transparency and accountability. The e-governance implementation areas include administration, finance and accounts, student admission, student  support and examination. It enables in achieving and creating  a paperless environment and quick access to information is possible.

Elements of Policy

  1. E governance in administration
    • Attendance Management Software EMBASE Pro Suit is  used by teaching faculty to record and track attendance and internal assessment
    • LAN connection 
    • Bill Information and Management System (BiMS) for e Bill processing 
    • Academic and administrative information are circulated, reports are collected through electronic media and recorded digitally.
  2. Finance and Accounts
    • Funds from  E grants ,WWS,SSP,NCC, NSS are processed through BiMS
    • Receipt and disbursement of government funds such as RUSA, DST-FIST etc are carried out through PFMS(Public Financial Management System)
  3. Student Admission.
    • Display of Brochures in the Website 
    • Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) is used to manage the admissions in the college.  
  4. Accounts 
    • College uses multiple software like SPARK (Service and Payroll Administrative Repository of Kerala) with a vision to digitize all HR related service and salary data of Government employees, Public Financial Management System (PFMS) for managing the funds received from the Government, BiMS, PRISM,  TDS, Provident Fund, Allowances, etc.  all are managed by the Payroll Management System. 
    • Payments are generally made and received through online mode such as NEFT, RTGS, Bank Transfers etc.
  5. Student Support
    • Library is automated with Koha software
    • Provision of NVDA, or Non-Visual Desktop Access enabled system
    • Availability of computers and printers in administrative block and departments
    • Installation of Projectors and other multimedia devices in the departments, mini auditorium, NAAC Room and conference hall.
    • Updation and purchase of Office automation packages for desktops like MSOffice and Antivirus 
  6. Examination
    • Online system for uploading internal marks of students in the Examination portal
    • Absentee / malpractice statement to be uploaded after the University Examination in the Examination portal of MG University
