Devaswom Board College Central Library was established with the institute in 1965 to meet the information requirements of the academic community of the college and for the collection, organization and dissemination of information.

This Library is equipped with library automation system using KOHA open source integrated library software with Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), which has enabled computerizing the library operations. The library uses KOHA for library management and daily operations. The OPAC allows users to search for books and check their transaction details. Library follows Dewey Decimal Classification System (DDC) for classification of books and organizing the collection on the shelves.

Central Library Holds 36000+ printed books in its collection which includes textbooks, reference books and reference sources like encyclopedias, yearbooks and dictionaries. All the printed books can be searched through library catalogue for knowing the availability, number of copies, and status of the book. Our college is a member of INFLIBNET NLIST E-resources consortium. Library provides access to 24+ print periodicals and 6000+ electronic journals, 135000+ e-books. Interested students are encouraged to access by providing ID and password. A Shelf List displayed in every shelf with major class numbers and subjects of books available in the library.

Membership of the library is open to regular teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students of the college. Guest teachers and temporary non- teaching staff can take books through permanent staff account with their own permission.

Library offers an orientation program to the students and others at the beginning of every academic year. Through this program, efforts are made to familiarize every new member with the resources, services, and facilities offered by the library. The program also sensitizes the users about the policies, rules & regulations of the library.

Monday to Saturday: 09.30 a.m. to 04.30 p.m.

Issue/Return: 09.45 a.m. to 04.15 p.m.

(Library will be closed on Public Holidays)
