A strategic plan is executed in Devaswom Board College Thalayolaparambu to restrict the entry of vehicles inside the campus. There is a relaxation to this policy for Students and staff with physical disabilities and were allowed to enter into the institution 

Statement of policy

Entry of vehicles is strictly restricted inside campus unless under emergency situations. Parking areas are provided at different parts of the campus for the safe parking of vehicles.

Objectives

• To reduce the chances of accidents inside the campus
• To promote the use eco-friendly transportation  
• To reduce atmospheric pollution from vehicular emissions                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

Implementation

• Temporary permission shall be given to guests/ visitors’ for using vehicles in the campus. 
• Emergency Vehicle Access: Ensuring clear access for emergency vehicles at all times.
• Accessible Parking: Parking spots close to buildings are reserved for people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Majority of students adopt public transport system for conveyance

A security personal is appointed at the main entrance to restrict the entry of vehicles.

Regular review and update of the policy is done by the campus committee to ensure the needs of the campus community that complies with local regulations.
