The department was established in 1965. It became an undergraduate department in 1981 and a post graduate department in 1993.The department has well qualified and experienced faculty. The department has a computer lab with internet access and an NBHM supported library with rich collection of books. The department organizes various seminars, workshops, and lectures for the benefit of the students and the community. The department provides a supportive and stimulating learning environment for its students and equips them with the necessary skills and knowledge for successful carriers in various fields. The Maths club “SIGMA” is opening doors to a world of wonder and problem solving, where students can discover the joy of learning Mathematics together.
