Devaswom Board College Thalayolaprambu has established a comprehensive mechanism to address students’ grievances, encompassing both academic and non-academic concerns such as internal assessment, victimization, attendance, fee charging, examination conduct, and instances of harassment by fellow students or teachers.
Objectives of the Grievance Redressal Committee:
The Grievance Redressal Committee serves as a transparent and impartial body where students can report complaints, ensuring a swift response to resolve any grievances. By functioning effectively, the committee aims to proactively minimize the occurrence of such issues.
Types of Grievances: The Student Grievance Redressal Cell handles a variety of concerns, including but not limited to:
Submitting a Grievance: To submit a grievance, students can follow these steps:
Visit the ‘Grievance Online Form’ on the college website.
2. Offline Grievance Redressal:
Students can submit their grievances through complaint boxes placed on campus. Such grievances are considered highly confidential and duly transferred to the respective Redressal Committee based on the severity of the grievance. There are Grievance Redressal Committees at both the departmental and institutional levels. Students are informed about the decisions and actions taken by these committees. A complaint from an aggrieved student related to a specific department shall be addressed by the Departmental Student Grievance Redressal Committee, headed by the Department Head. Students can also submit their grievances directly to the Head of the concerned Department. Information about the action taken is communicated to the individual who submitted the grievance. If the student is not satisfied with the action/decision at the departmental level, they can approach the College/Institution level Student Grievance Redressal Committee.
Confidentiality: All grievances submitted will be treated with strict confidentiality. Personal information will only be shared with the relevant authorities involved in the resolution process.
